In celebration of Lineworker Appreciation Day, Gibson EMC employees visited the Gibson County Memorial Library on Wednesday, April 19 to visit with the “Book Worms” children’s class.
The children learned about what linemen do, safety, saw a bucket truck, tried on gloves, and watched First-Class Lineman, Josh Ferrell, put on his hooks and climb. Community and Member Engagement Specialist, Jessica Toliver, read Linemen: The Unsung Heroes by Michelle Larson.
Other Gibson EMC employees helping out were First Class Lineman Jeff Milam, Mechanic Philip Jewell, VP of Engineering Barry Smith, and Key Accounts Representative Cynthia McClure.
