Gibson Electric Membership Corporation invites you to our annual members’ meeting, Thursday evening, April 1, at Obion County Central High School in Troy, Tennessee. This year’s meeting format will be modified to protect our consumer-members and employees during the on-going pandemic.
“Members will remain in their vehicles throughout the meeting,” explains Dan Rodamaker, President and CEO of Gibson EMC and Gibson Connect. “We’ll have a drive-through registration so that we can record our members’ attendance to determine that our 100-member quorum requirement is met. Each member will receive a registration gift, a door prize ticket, and the radio channel setting through which they can hear the meeting,” he says.
The meeting will be shortened to include a vote on the minutes from the 2019 annual meeting, a vote on the 2019 and the 2020 financials, a few words from Dan, the President and CEO, and door prizes. Ten $100 electric bill credits will be drawn from those who register at the conclusion of the meeting. The winners will be announced and the credits will automatically be applied to the lucky members’ electric accounts.
“We hope our members will still come out and join us,” says Rodamaker. “It is important that we conduct the cooperative’s business, but we must do it in a safe and responsible way. We’ll miss shaking hands and visiting in person, but even in a drive-through format we’ll still enjoy seeing our members.”
