Gibson EMC Crews Continue to Restore Service

As of 8:45 p.m. about 150 Gibson Electric Membership Corporation members’ homes and businesses are still without power.  These outages are scattered throughout the cooperative’s entire Northwest Tennessee service area.  Gibson EMC crews have been working to restore service since the first outage occurred at 2:30 p.m.  At its height, there were 4,600 homes and businesses affected.  The number was whittled down to 1,400 by 5 p.m.  Crews are continuing to work and will restore service to everyone as quickly as possible.  We are sorry for the inconvenience and we appreciate our members’ patience and understanding.
