Gibson Electric Membership Corporation is seeking to fill three Lineworker positions – two in its Hickman, Kentucky Member Service Center and one in its Tiptonville, Tennessee Member Service Center. Gibson EMC prefers to hire qualified First Class Lineworkers who have successfully completed Apprentice Lineworker training; however, Apprentice Lineworkers will also be considered.
Qualified First Class Lineworker applicants must have completed an approved Apprentice Lineman training program and 54 months of on-the-job lineworker training at an electric utility.
Qualified Apprentice Lineworker applicants MUST earn the following National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) levels: level 5 or Gold on Applied Mathematics; level 4 or Silver on Locating Information; and level 4 or Silver on Reading for Information. All American Job Center locations in Tennessee offer the NCRC testing and the Kentucky Adult Education Centers offer the NCRC testing.
